YoGoGol Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Depending on how you use YoGoGol, we may collect:

• Account information, such as your email address, public handle, optional display name, profile photo, bio, city/state/country, birth year, and sex or gender information you choose to provide.
• Life and app activity, including GOLs you complete or want to do, scores, rankings, trophies, dares, follows, reactions, notification preferences, and similar app activity.
• Content you choose to share, such as photos, experience stories, comments, questions, tips, place information, and other community contributions.
• Location information when you choose location-based features. YoGoGol may use approximate location for features such as the LIVE Map and may store place/location information you voluntarily attach to an experience.
• Photo-library information when you grant photo access. YoGoGol may use photo dates or location metadata on your device to suggest private Life Log moments. Photos are not uploaded unless you choose to add or share them.
• Device and service information, such as push-notification tokens, basic technical logs, and information needed to secure and operate the service.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, scores, rankings, GOL tracking, social features, maps, memories, notifications, and other requested features.
• Personalize the experience and help you rediscover or plan experiences.
• Operate safety tools, including content filtering, reports, blocking, fraud/abuse prevention, and moderation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve YoGoGol.
• Respond to support requests and comply with applicable law.

What other people can see

YoGoGol includes social features. Your public handle and content you intentionally make public may be visible to other users. Visibility controls in the app allow you to limit certain profile areas. Do not post information you do not want others to see.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate YoGoGol, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure, and Expo-related services for app delivery and push notifications. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to YoGoGol and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Sale and advertising

YoGoGol does not currently sell your personal information and does not currently use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by law.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide and secure YoGoGol. You can permanently delete your account from Profile & Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion removes your account and associated user data, including user-uploaded YoGoGol media, except information we are legally required or legitimately permitted to retain for limited purposes such as security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance.

Your choices

You can edit profile information, adjust profile visibility, change notification settings, block members, report content, revoke device permissions in iOS Settings, or delete your account. You may also contact us about a privacy request.

Children

YoGoGol is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country, to create an account unless a legally authorized parent or guardian has provided any consent required by applicable law.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user information, including authenticated access controls and database row-level security. No service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as YoGoGol evolves. We will post the current version here and change the effective date when appropriate.
